In most city areas, you should park your Dott in dedicated parking spots marked on your map in the Dott App. Make sure it’s not blocking any walkways. Always park your Dott in an upright position, using the kickstand.
Parking outside of the Dott riding area is not permitted and can lead to an administrative relocation fee up to €300 in addition to possible legal fines from cities. Never park in areas that are legally off-limits, such as:
- In the middle of the sidewalk or bike lanes
- Private property or private driveways
- Wheelchair ramps
- Areas that need to stay free for safety reasons (e.g. hospital entrances)
- No-park zones (these are generally shown on your in-app map)
All cities we operate in have very strict parking regulations that aim to ensure the well-being of scooter drivers and pedestrians. In case a scooter is parked in an unauthorized area, we must send one of our employees to collect it.
There are two types of restrictions: one is about designated parking spots and the other is about the riding zones where you can use the scooters. Please take a moment to check the map in your Dott app to visualize those dedicated zones and like always, if anything remains unclear, feel free to reach out to our Customer Care team at support@ridedott.com!
Please note that parking rules vary per city.
