Riders receive 50% off Dott pay as you go rides with a valid HC2 certificate, DID card, or Disabled Persons Railcard.
NHS and Emergency Service workers receive 75% off Dott pay as you go rides. In the case of a national lockdown, we increase the discount to 100%.
All students and staff at higher education institutes receive 20% off Dott pay as you go rides. Books at the ready!
What’s accepted as proof of eligibility?
For a Dott Community discount, you’ll need a valid HC2 certificate, DID card or Disabled Persons Railcard. You can find more information about HC2 certificates here. Unfortunately, we can’t accept universal credits.
For a Dott Heroes discount, you’ll need to present your valid NHS identity, Blue Light card or Defence Discount Service card.
For a Dott Scholars discount, make sure you have your valid student or staff campus identity card for a UK-based higher education institute.
If applicable, upload both sides of your proof of eligibility. The images themselves should be clear and include the full face of the document. Screenshots from apps or webpages are not accepted as proof of eligibility.
Applying for your discount
Before you get started, make sure you already have a Dott account – just download the Dott app.
To apply, write a short email requesting a discount to firstname.lastname@example.org. Attach evidence of your eligibility (see accepted proof examples below) to your email, as well as the same phone number you use for your Dott account, and click send.
We’ll get back to you very shortly with a confirmation email. Once you receive this email, your discount is up and running. Until then, standard rates apply. As a friendly reminder, discounts may not be applied retroactively.
