Riding area
You’re free to ride your Dott scooter or bike within the boundaries of your city’s riding area. Everything outside this riding area is marked in red on the in-app map, to make it crystal clear for you where you can and can’t ride.
You can’t park, continue riding or end your ride outside of the riding area. Leaving your vehicle outside of the riding area might lead to an administrative relocation fee of up to €300, in addition to possible legal fines from cities, so be sure to park inside the riding area! Naturally, we'll let you know if you reach the border with a push notification so that this doesn't happen. We also recommend checking the map beforehand to see where you can ride.
No-go zones
No-go zones are indicated in red on the map. Some cities have no-go zones (such as parks) that you’re forbidden by law to enter on a Dott. We recommend checking your map to plan out your route beforehand, so you can avoid these areas.
Low-speed zones
Low-speed zones are indicated in yellow on the map. When entering a low-speed zone, your Dott may automatically slow down to 8-12 km/h, depending on the city you’re riding in. Take extra care when riding through these areas.
